How much can I reduce my image size?
Typical photos shrink by 50–80%. Results depend on the original — images that are already heavily optimised will see smaller gains.
What does “Auto — smallest file” do?
It encodes your image in several suitable formats (WebP and JPG, or PNG for transparent images) and keeps whichever is smallest. If nothing beats your original, the original is kept.
Will compression reduce visible quality?
At the default “Balanced” setting, differences are very hard to see. Use “Light” for maximum fidelity or “Strong” for the smallest files.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Every operation runs locally in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas engine. Your files never leave your device, so they stay completely private.
Is there a file size limit?
